The Story of Rouje Paris
Founded by Jeanne Damas in 2016, Rouje Paris began with a wardrobe shaped around a free, sensual and self-possessed vision of Parisian style.
Today, the Rouje world spans clothing, signature dresses, shoes, bags and Les Filles en Rouje beauty—always guided by the women, images and cities that move the story forward.

Rouje Paris begins
In spring 2016, Jeanne Damas and her team introduced the first Rouje clothing collection. The starting point was not a costume version of Paris, but a wardrobe meant to feel instinctive: pieces with ease, character and a distinctly feminine point of view.
From dresses and tops to skirts, jeans, coats and jackets, the collection established the relaxed tension that still defines Rouje Paris—polished but never rigid, sensual without trying too hard.

The Gabin becomes a signature
In 2017, the Rouje Gabin dress arrived. Its floral print, wrap construction and instantly recognizable line helped it become one of the pieces most closely associated with the brand.
The Gabin set the rhythm for future Rouje dresses: defined silhouettes, expressive prints and an ease that works for ordinary afternoons as naturally as memorable evenings.

New light, the same point of view
Rouje’s first major shoot outside France took the team to Ibiza in 2018. The setting changed, but the point of view remained unmistakably Parisian: sun, movement, color and a sense of freedom.
The visual world grew around Rouje dresses, white blouses, skirts, jeans and sandals—pieces able to move between city streets and warmer horizons without losing their identity.

Paris crosses the Atlantic
In 2019, Rouje tested its appeal in the United States with pop-ups in Los Angeles and New York. That September, the brand opened its first Paris boutique on Rue Bachaumont.
For customers discovering Rouje in the US, the pop-ups brought the clothing, shoes and bags out of the screen and into a physical world, while the Paris boutique gave the brand a home in the city that inspired it.

Clothing women, standing with women
In 2020, Rouje began supporting the Maison des Femmes Restart program, which helps women who have experienced violence. The relationship placed solidarity and practical support alongside the brand’s creative work.
Rouje also continued creating selected upcycled pieces connected to fundraising for women’s organizations, giving parts of the fashion calendar a purpose beyond the wardrobe.

Many faces of Rouje
In 2021, the brand’s imagery widened its portrait of femininity through a new cast of women and creative voices. The result was less a single ideal than a living, varied Rouje fashion universe.
That openness still guides how Rouje clothes are worn: a cardigan with jeans, a camisole under a jacket, boots with a dress, or a blouse with a skirt—personal combinations rather than a fixed uniform.

Les Filles en Rouje
In 2022, Rouje expanded into beauty with Les Filles en Rouje, conceived as an extension of the wardrobe. The collection brought the same intimate, Parisian sensibility to color and care.
Rouje makeup now sits beside the clothing universe, with lipstick, lip palettes and other beauty essentials designed for everyday rituals.

New York, and a wider world
In 2023, Rouje opened a New York boutique, giving its U.S. community a permanent place to experience the brand. The year also included Rouje’s first fully upcycled collection and a charity capsule with XULY.Bët.
The wider Rouje wardrobe brings together shoes, bags, belts, jeans and ready-to-wear while keeping the editorial intimacy of the earliest collections.

Collaboration as conversation
In 2024, Rouje collaborated with Moulin Rouge, bringing two Parisian worlds together through a capsule rooted in performance, glamour and the mythology of the city.
Collaboration at Rouje is less about changing identity than placing it in dialogue with another point of view. Each project adds a chapter while keeping the recognizable line of Rouje Paris.

Paris meets New York
In 2025, Rouje x J.Crew connected Paris and New York through a collection built around a shared idea of effortless style. The year also brought projects with Helena Christensen and Aigle.
These collaborations showed how Rouje clothing can move between contexts—from dresses and tops to knits, coats, jackets and shoes—while preserving the brand’s relaxed, feminine signature.

Ten years, and the next chapter
In 2026, Rouje marked its tenth anniversary with a cinema-inspired capsule and the opening of Café Rouje. The celebration looked back at a decade of images, collections, places and women.
Ten years on, Rouje Paris remains a wardrobe in motion: signature dresses, jeans, tops, skirts, coats, bags, shoes and beauty, brought together by a point of view that began in Paris and continues to evolve.
